RESOLUTION N0. 6145-87 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> A RESOLUTION extending sincere appreciation to Karen A. <br /> Dowling, Clerk of Council, for her reading of the Preamble to the <br /> Constitution of the United States of America at the Lakewood City <br /> Council Meeting held May 4, 1987. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has formally expressed its <br /> intent to participate in the Bicentennial Celebration of the Northwest <br /> Ordinance and the United States Constitution, and <br /> WHEREAS, as a part of that participation, at -each regularly <br /> scheduled meeting of this Council for the balance of the year 1987 a <br /> member of the Lakewood community will read aloud the Preamble to the <br /> Constitution of the United States of America, and <br /> WHEREAS, Karen A. Dowling, Clerk of Council graciously <br /> accepted Council's invitation to read aloud the Preamble to the <br /> Constitution of the United States at the Council Meeting held May 4, <br /> 1987, for which Council wishes to express its appreciation; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD STATE <br /> OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That this Council extends to Karen A. Dowling, <br /> Clerk of Council, its sincere appreciation and thanks, and that of all <br /> of the citizens of the Lakewood community, for her reading aloud the <br /> Preamble to the Constitution of the United States of America at the <br /> Lakewood City Council meeting held May 4, 1987. <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby <br /> authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution <br /> to Karen A.
