RESOLUTION N0. 6165-87 BY: Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of Public Works to enter <br /> into a contract or contracts with the lowest and best bidder(s) for <br /> the purchase and/or rental of uniforms for the various employees of <br /> Engineering, Office on Aging, Parks, Refuse, Streets, Wastewater and <br /> Water. <br /> WHEREAS, it has been determined that the City of Lakewood will <br /> furnish uniforms for certain employees, and, <br /> WHEREAS, our present contract for the above service has expired, <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, this Resolution constitutes an emergency measure provid- <br /> ing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department and for <br /> the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, <br /> now, therefore: <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby <br /> authorized and directed to enter into a contract or contracts for the <br /> purchase and/or rental of uniforms for various employees of the <br /> Divisions of Engineering, Office on Aging, Parks, Refuse, Streets, <br /> Wastewater and Water, with the lowest and best bidder(s), after <br /> advertising according to law, for a period of three years, comrt;encing <br /> August 1, 1987. <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of <br /> this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance <br /> were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such. <br /> deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that <br /> resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public, <br /> in compliance with all beg al requirements. <br /> Section 3. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br /> emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br /> provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br /> members elected to Council, it shall be deemed to be of ct u n <br /> its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> ADOPTED: <br /> es en <br /> e~~? <br /> <br /> APPROVED: ~ `,7j l ~ or <br /> 6~~ <br /> <br />
