RESOLUTION No. 6243-88 BY:Brown, Ghinnock, Gallagher, Gazzana, George, Graham, Wendling A RESOLUTION to commend Captain Daniel James Herdman for his of public service as a Firefighter of the City of Lakewood. WHEREAS, Daniel James Herdman was appointed to the Division of Eire, Department of Public Safety on February 15, 19601, and promoted to the rank of Captain on March 25, 1973, and WHEREAS, during his tenure with the Lakewood Fire Department, Captain Herdman was recognized aas a loyal and dedicated employee who rendered outstanding service not only to the Department of Public Safety, but to the entire community as well, and WHEREAS, .upon his retirement January 30, 1988, Captain Herdman completed twenty-seven years, eleven and one-half months of public service as a member of the Division of Fire, Department of Public Safety, and WHEREAS, such dedication to duty and years of public service should be recognized in a proper and fitting manner; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Council of the City of Lakewood extends to Captain Daniel James Herdman its appreciation and that of all of the citizens of this community for his more than twenty-seven and a half years of public service as a Firefighter of the City of Lakewood, and further that this Council wishes him continued years of health, happiness and prosperity in his retirement. Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Captain Daniel J.
