<br /> RESOLUTION N0. 628288 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br /> Gazzana, George, Graham, Wendling <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director of <br /> Public Safety to advertise for proposals for an <br /> architectural/engineering feasibility study for a new jail, and City <br /> Hall expansion and new jail. <br /> WHEREAS, the Director of Public Safety has determined that <br /> the jail facility is not sufficient for the needs of the community and <br /> a study to determine the feasibility of the construction of a new <br /> facility is in the public interest, and <br /> WHEREAS, the available physical space at City Hall does not <br /> meet the needs of the community and it is in the public interest to <br /> determine the cost of a feasibility study for expansion of City Hall <br /> facilities, and <br /> WHEREAS, this Council determines it to be in the best <br /> interest of the City to seek proposals for a review of their City jail <br /> facility and possible City Hall expansion, and <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes a measure providing for <br /> the public health, safety and welfare; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Safety be and' is <br /> hereby directed to advertise for proposals for an <br /> architectural/engineering feasibility study for a new jail, and City <br /> Hall expansion and new jaii,'and to retupn proposals along with his recommendations <br /> and analysis to Cmty Council at the earliest opportunity-- <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be a <br /> resolution of a temporary character not continuing in nature, and <br /> provided it receives the affirmative vote of a majority of all members <br /> elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br /> upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal <br /> actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this <br /> resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that <br /> all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees <br /> that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the <br /> public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> Adopted: L j~`~l- a~~ ~G~~~~W`L~-9 <br /> PRE51DENTi~~ <br /> CLERK <br /> Approved • {/~°/~X~ ~tX O O <br /> YOR <br /> <br />
