RESOLUTION N0. 6284 - 88 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Gazzana, <br /> George, Graham, WentDling <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director of <br /> Public Works to sell, through a public auction, various obsolete and <br /> non-functioning city vehicles and/or equipment. <br /> WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to sell this <br /> obsolete and non-functioning equipment to make better use of the space <br /> it occupies and to realize a profit from the sale, and, <br /> WHEREAS, this Resolution constitutes an emergency measure provid- <br /> ing for the immediate preservation of the public health and welfare <br /> and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, now, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby <br /> authorized and directed to sell, through a public auction to be held <br /> on October 1, 1988, various obsolete and non-functioning city vehicles <br /> and/or equipment after advertising according to law. List of items to <br /> be auctioned attached hereto,. <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of <br /> this Council concerning and relating to the pas sage of this Resolution <br /> were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such <br /> deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that <br /> resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public, <br /> in compliance with all legal requirements including Section 121.22 of <br /> the Revised Code. <br /> Section 3. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br /> emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br /> provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br /> elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br /> upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise it shall take <br /> effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> 1 e <br /> i~ het <br /> Ller <br /> <br /> APPROVED: ~lSd" <br /> a <br /> <br />
