RESOLUTION N0. 6284 - 88 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Gazzana, George, Graham, WentDling AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director of Public Works to sell, through a public auction, various obsolete and non-functioning city vehicles and/or equipment. WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to sell this obsolete and non-functioning equipment to make better use of the space it occupies and to realize a profit from the sale, and, WHEREAS, this Resolution constitutes an emergency measure provid- ing for the immediate preservation of the public health and welfare and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, now, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby authorized and directed to sell, through a public auction to be held on October 1, 1988, various obsolete and non-functioning city vehicles and/or equipment after advertising according to law. List of items to be auctioned attached hereto,. Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the pas sage of this Resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements including Section 121.22 of the Revised Code. Section 3. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law. 1 e i~ het Ller APPROVED: ~lSd" a
