<br /> RESOLUTION NO. 6305-$$ BY: Councilman Chinnock,Brown <br /> Gallagher, Gazzana, George, Graham, Wendling <br /> A RESOLUTION dedicating the park at Clifton and West Clifton <br /> in the City of Lakewood to the memory of Mayor Frank P. Celeste and <br /> naming that park the Mayor Frank P. Celeste Memorial Park. <br /> WHEREAS, Frank P. Celeste served as Mayor of the City of <br /> Lakewood from 1956 to 1963, during which time the City prospered and <br /> progressed in an uprecedented manner, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Honorable Frank P. Celeste's term as Mayor of <br /> the City of Lakewood was marked with outstanding and dedicated service <br /> to our community, whose many accomplishments included housing for the <br /> elderly and the development of the Gold Coast which demonstrated that <br /> he was a man of vision and during which service he gave unselfishly to <br /> all of our citizens his time, talents and energies, and <br /> WHEREAS, that public recognition and appreciation of Mayor <br /> Frank P. Celeste's selfless devotion to our community is best <br /> evidenced in the naming of this park in the City he so dearly loved in <br /> his honor; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That this Council hereby determines that it is <br /> fitting and proper to memorialize Mayor Frank P. Celeste by the <br /> dedication of a park located in the City he loved and served so <br /> honorably in his name. <br /> Section 2. That the Council and the Mayor do hereby declare <br /> that the park located at Clifton Boulevard and West Clifton Boulevard <br /> in our City shall be dedicated to the memory of the Honorable Frank P. <br /> Celeste and that the name of that park shall be the Mayor Frank P. <br /> Celeste Memorial Park. <br /> Section 3. That the Director of Public Works is hereby <br /> authorized and directed to so designate said park in the official <br /> records of the City and to place in the park an appropriate plaque <br /> containing the essential terms of this Resolution along with the name <br /> of the park as provided herein. <br /> Section 4. It is found and determined that all formal <br /> actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this <br /> resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that <br /> all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees <br /> that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the <br /> public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> Section 5. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby <br /> authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution <br /> to Governor Richard F.
