RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6333-89 <br /> <br />BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gal lagher, Gazzana, <br /> George, Graham, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director of <br />Public Works to advertise for bids for the purchase and installation of an <br />eacly warning fire alarm system at the City of Lakewood Municipal Building, <br />12650 Detroit Avenue, and at the Armory site, 1437 Wayne Avenue, which <br />includes three (3) separate buildings which house the Division of <br />Streets-Traffic Signal/Sign Shop Unit, the Carpenter Shop, and the Water <br />Maintenance Repair Shop. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, fire alarm systems in the above-listed locations are <br />paramount in providing early warning notification for all inhabitants as <br />well as automatic notification to the Fire Department in the event of fire, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, life-safety and the protection of vital records and <br />communication links will be greatly enhanced by this system, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Resolution constitutes an emergency measure in that <br />it provides for the immediate preservation of the public safety and <br />welfare; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby <br />authorized and directed to advertise for bids for the purchase and <br />installation of early warning fire alarm systems for the locations listed <br />in the preamble. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actibns of <br />this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were <br />adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations <br />of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal <br />action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal <br />requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon <br />its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and <br />be in force after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />PRESIDENT <br /> <br />CLERK <br /> <br />App roved :[?~~/-/~, <br /> <br /> <br />
