RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6334 -89 <br /> <br /> BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gal lagher, <br />Gazzana, George, Graham, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, for and on <br />behalf of the City of Lakewood, to accept as a gift to the City of <br />Lakewood the sum of $4,300 from the Commission on Aging, Inc. <br /> <br /> W~EREAS, the Commission On Aging provides home health care <br />services to seniors in our community without fee, and accepts only <br />contributions from seniors served to support the program, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the donations to the Commission are remitted to the <br />City of Lakewood to support the Home Health Program of the Lakewood <br />Department On Aging, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal corporation; <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized <br />and directed to accept as a gift to the City of Lakewood from the <br />Lakewood Commission On Aging, Inc., the sum of $4,300 which funds are <br />from donations from senior citizens of Lakewood receiving services <br />under the Department of Aging Home Health Program. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Mayor and this Council extend our <br />thanks to the Commission On Aging and the citizens served by this <br />program for their support and assistance in this important effort. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this <br />resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that <br />all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees <br />that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the <br />public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take <br />effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />Appr oved~~(~?./~/ /~, <br /> <br />PRE S I DENT <br /> <br />CLERK <br /> <br /> <br />
