RESOLUTION NO. 6335-89 <br /> <br />BY: <br /> <br />Brown, Bhinnock, Gallagher, Gazzana, <br />George, Graham, Wendling <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION <br />through February 18th, <br />Lakewood. <br /> <br />to designate the week of February 12th <br />1989, as Self-EsteemWeek in the City of <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the issues and concerns facing kids and their <br />families iD the City of Lakewood is important to the vitality of <br />the entire community, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, self-esteem is the nourishing of one's <br />talents, resources and abilities; a tool by which one learns the <br />value of oneself, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, research has shown that low self-esteem and/or <br />lack thereof is the root cause of child abuse throughout all <br />sectors of society, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, awareness by Lakewood residents of the <br />importance of positive and pervasive self-esteem in kids and <br />adults alike may be e~%anced through a Self-Esteem Week; now, <br />therefore <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council, for and on behalf of the <br />citizens of the City of Lakewood, hereby designates the week of <br />February 12th through February 18th, 1989, as Self-EsteemWeek in <br />the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and is hereby <br />authorized and directed to send a certified copy of this <br />Resolution to the Youth Services Department of Lakewood, c/o Mary <br />Hall, 13616 Madison Avenue, Lakewood, OH 44107, and that a copy <br />of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br />Adopted:~~ ~./~ <br /> <br />Approved <br /> <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL <br /> <br /> <br />
