RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6338-89 <br /> <br /> BY: Brown~ Chinnock, Gallagher, <br />Gazzana, George, Graham;, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD to <br />seek financial assistance from the State of Ohio for infrastructure <br />improvements. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the citizens of Ohio passed State Issue No. 2 in <br />November, 1987 authorizing the State of Ohio to issue bonds making <br />funds available to political sub-divisioms for improving their <br />infrastructure such as roads, storm and sanitary sewers, bridges and <br />water supply systems, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Ohio Public Works Commission and the <br />District of Public Works Integrating Committee are now in a position <br />to accept applications so as to determine those eligible communities <br />to which the State will apportion infrastructure funds; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood, Ohio has conducted a capital <br />improvement inventory and plan detailing City capital improvement <br /> needs, in addition to a list of project priorities; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution provides for the usual daily <br />operation of a municipal Department and contributes to the public <br />health, safety and welfare; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The City is hereby authorized to apply to the <br />State of Ohio through the District 1 Public Works Integrating <br />Committee for financial assistance on various required infrastructure <br />improvements. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this Resolution is declared to be an <br />emergency measure and, provided it receives an affirmative vote of <br />two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in <br />force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor, <br />otherwise at the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />Adopted: ~~ ~/ /~J~ <br /> <br />President <br /> <br />Approved:~ ~ <br /> <br /> <br />
