RESOLUTION NO. 6354-89 <br /> <br /> BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br />Gazzana, George, Graham, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor for and on <br />behalf of the City of Lakewood to accept a grant to the City of <br />Lakewood in the amount of $20,000.00 from the Governor's Office <br />of Criminal Justice Services-Children's Trust Fund. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Governor's Office of Criminal Justice Services- <br />Children's Trust Fund, has approved and awarded to the Lakewood <br />Youth Office of the City of Lakewood a grant in the amount of <br />$20,000.00 for the purpose of providing an innovative and far- <br />reaching Child Abuse Prevention Program, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the immediate preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare and for the usual daily operation of a municipal <br />department; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized <br />and directed to accept a grant for the Youth Office of the City <br />of Lakewood in the sum of $20,000.00 from the Governor's <br />Office of Criminal Justice Services-Children's Trust Fund for <br />the purpose of providing a Child Abuse Prevention Program. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage <br />of this resolution were adopted in open meeting of this CoUncil, <br />and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of <br />its committees that resulted in formal action, were in meetings <br />open to the public. <br /> ? <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble <br />hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by <br />the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force <br />after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br /> / PRESIDENT <br /> <br />Approved,~~ ~// /~ <br /> <br /> <br />
