RESOLUTION NO. 6356-89 <br /> <br />BY: <br /> <br />Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br />Gazzana, George, Wendling <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director of <br />Public Works to enter into a contract with Coyne-Kangesser, Inc. for <br />the operation and management of Municipal Parking Garage No. 2. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Coyne-Kangesser was declared to be the best and lowest <br />bidder after competitive bidding, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS,'Coyne-Kangesser has successfully operated Municipal Park- <br />ing Garage No. 2 for the past seven years, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Resolution constitutes an emergency measure in that <br />the current contract for the operation of Municipal Garage No. 2 <br />expired March 31, 1989, and it provides for the usual daily operation <br />of a municipal department; now, therefore: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. It is hereby determined that Coyne-Kangesser has given <br />the City of Lakewood the best and lowest bid for the operation and <br />management of Municipal Parking Garage No. 2; therefore, the Director <br />of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Coyne-Kangesser for a total of $404,640.00 for a six <br />year period of time. <br /> <br /> Section 2. Said monies will be paid from Contractual Services <br />Budgeted Fund for the Division of Streets, Department of Public Works. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of <br />this Council concerning and relating to the passage 'of this Resolution <br />were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such <br />deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that <br />resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for' the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon it adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take <br />effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />President <br /> <br /> <br />
