RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6385-89 <br /> <br /> BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br />Gazzana, George, Graham, Wendling <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend James D. Shaughnessy for his public service <br />as a firefighter and officer in the Division of Fire, City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, upon his retirement on June ll, 1989, James Shaughnessy <br />was Assistant Chief, and he had completed more than 27 years of public <br />service as a firefighter with the Division of Fire, City of Lakewood, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during his tenure with the Lakewood Division of Fire, Mr. <br />Shaughnessy has been recognized as a loyal and dedicated employee who <br />rendered outstanding service, not only to the Department of Public Safety, <br />but to the entire community as well, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the public service rendered <br />by James Shaughnessy be given public cognizance and recognition; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council extends to James D. Shaughnessy its <br />appreciation and that of all the citizens of this community for his more than <br />27 years of public service as a firefighter and officer in the Division of <br />Fire, City of Lakewood, and further that this Council wishes him continued <br />years of health, happiness and prosperity in his retirement. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be, and she is hereby <br />authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to <br />James D.
