RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6406-89 <br /> <br /> BY: Chinnock, Gallagher, <br />Gazzana, George, Graham, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN <br />amendment to <br />Governments <br />Committee.. <br /> <br />EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor to execute an <br /> the existing agreement of the Westshore Council of <br />to establish the Westshore Solid Waste Management <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to all citizens of Lakewood <br />that Lakewood join in the establishment of a Westshore Solid Waste <br />Management Committee within the context of the Westshore Council of <br />Governments, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Westshore Solid Management Committee will <br />include the Mayors or their representatives of the municipalities of <br />the Westshore Council of Governments: Rocky River, Bay Village, <br />Fairview Park, Lakewood, North Olmsted and Westlake, and two citizens <br />appointed by the Mayor of each member municipality; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this emergency resolution provides for the regular <br />operation of a municipal department and the public health, safety, and <br />welfare: now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor be and and he is hereby <br />authorized to execute an amendment to the agreement of the Westshore <br />Council of Governments to establish the Westshore Solid Waste <br />Management Committee, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein and marked as Exhibit "A". <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this <br />resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that <br />all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees <br />that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the <br />public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take <br />effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />PRES I DENT <br /> <br />Approved: ~~~/ /f~l <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />
