RESOLUTION NO.642~-89 BY: <br /> <br />Brown, ~hinnock, Gallagher, <br />Gazzana, George, Graham <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION commending Lakewood resident Albert Pursel <br />for his work, mhd the participation by the group of merchants in <br />which the City of Lakewood is included, pn~he Detroit Avenue <br />Holiday project. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Detroit Avenue strip, from Eliza Jennings <br />Home in Cleveland to Cohassett Avenue in Lakewood, will be aglow <br />with 56 decorative, lighted Christmas trees this holiday season, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this first-of-its-kind joint community project <br />was spearheaded by Detroit Avenue Work Group President and <br />Medic Drugstore Manager Albert Pursel, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Lakewood resident Albert Pursel contacted each <br />business and property owner (including City Hall) and successfully <br />raised the over $12,500 needed to purchase and install the <br />holiday trees, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the public service <br />rendered by Mr. Pursel be given public cognizance and recognition; <br />now, therefore <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council extend to Mr. Alber~Pursel <br />its appreciation for the valued and dedicated public service and <br />sense of business pride, and further that this Council wishes him <br />contined success in all his endeavors. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the clerk of Council,be and she is <br />hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this <br />Resolution to ALbert Pursel, c/o Cudell Improvement, Inc., <br />11450 Franklin Boulevard, Cleveland, Ohio, 44102, and that a <br />copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br />PRESIDENT <br /> <br />CLERK <br /> <br /> <br />
