That this Council condemns the actions of the
government of E1 Salvador and particularly the torture and murder of
six Jesuit priests and their two house members and the imprisonment of
Jennifer Cosolo.

Section 2. That this Council urges the United States
Congress to immediately halt all economic and military aid to the
government of E1 Salvador and to continue withholding such aid until
the E1 Salvadorian government ends cold blooded violations of human
rights, including repression, torture, false imprisonment and summary
executions.

Section 3. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby
authorized and directed to forward a copy of this Resolution to
Senator John Glenn, Senator Howard Metzenbaum, Congressman Edward
Feighan, Congresswoman Mary Rose Oakar, the Clerk of the United States
House of Representatives and the Clerk of the United States Senate.

Section 4. It is found and determined that all formal
actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this
resolution were adopted mn an open meeting of this Council, and that
all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees
that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the
public in compliance with all legal requirements.
