RESOLUTION NO. 6445-90 <br /> <br />BY:Boscia, Gallagher, Gazzal <br /> George, Graham, Roth, Smit] <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend William Starosta for his <br />generous act of volunteering to aid the City of Charleston, South <br />Carolina, and its victims of Hurricane Hugo. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on October 3, 1989, our City sent volunteer <br />William Starosta to aid the victimized city of Charleston, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, William Starosta courageously and willingly set <br />out, leaving behind familiar surroundings and comforts of home, to <br />help those in another municipality from uncivilized conditions, <br />and <br /> <br />stressful <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such a spontaneous aCt of volunteerism in a <br /> situation~of entering the unknown saved his fellow man, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council believes it appropriate to commend <br />the courageous action of citizens willing to become involved; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council extends to William <br />Starosta its appreciation and that of all of the citizens of this <br />community for his courageous actions. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
