RESOLUTION NO. 6473-90 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gallagher, Georg <br /> Graham <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, for and on behalf of the <br />City of Lakewood, to accept as a gift to the City of Lakewood the sum <br />of $12,270.00 from the Cotdbish Charitable Trust. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Office On Aging has benefitted greatly from <br />contributions from various charitable organizations, particularly the <br />Cotabish Charitable Trust, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Cotabish Charitable Trust desires to donate <br />$12,270.00 to the Lakewood Office on Aging for the purpose of <br />assisting in the Community Outreach Program, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Community Outreach Program benefits all our <br />community as well as our older adults, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety <br />and welfare and for the usual daily operation of a municipal <br />department; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized <br />for and on behalf of the City of Lakewood to accept as a gift from the <br />Cotobish Charitable Trust an amount equal to $12,270.00 in support of <br />the Community Outreach Program of the Lakewood Office On Aging. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Mayor and Council extend to all those <br />involved in the Cotabish Charitable Trust their sincere appreciation <br />and thanks along with that of all of the citizens of our community for <br />this most gracious gift to be used for the benefit of our older adults <br />by the Lakewood Office On Aging. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby <br />authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution <br />to the Trustees of the Cotabish Charitable Trust, 14519 Detroit <br />Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio 44107, and that a copy of this resolution be <br />spread upon the minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br /> Section 4. It is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this <br />resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that <br />all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees <br />that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the <br />public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 5. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; <br />effect and be in force after the earliest period all~ <br /> <br />otherwis.~-~h~ll take <br />od all <br /> <br />Approved :~~ ~// <br /> <br /> <br />
