RESOLUTION NO. 6482-90 BY: Boscia, Gallagher, Gazzana, George, Graham, Roth, Smith AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor for and on behalf of the City of Lakewood to enter into a contract with the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission for the sum of $41,850.00 for the purpose of conducting a study on residential units within the City of Lakewood. WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood is in the process of preparing a City-Wide Comprehensive Plan, and WHEREAS, a study of residential units is an necessary compo- nent of the plan, and WHEREAS, the Lakewood Planning Commission has recommended that the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission be authorized to conduct the study on residential housing units, and WHEREAS, the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission is quali- fied to conduct such study; WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; Now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized for and on behalf of the City of Lakewood to enter into a contract with the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission in the amount of $41,850.00 to prepare a study on residential housing units in the City of Lakewood. Section 2. That the contract entered into shall be substan- tially consistent with the proposal attached hereto and enclosed herein. The final contract shall be in form acceptable to the Direc- tor of Law and approved by the Board of Control. Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. Section 4. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members take~ elected to Council, it shall in immediately hall take upon its adoption and approval by Adopted:effect and ~be in force after the ea~~~Cle~.~~''~''/q~ Approved:
