RESOLUTION NO. 6483-90 <br /> <br />BY: <br /> <br />Boscia, Gallagher, Gazzana, <br />George, Graham, Roth, Smith <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, for and on <br />behalf of the City of Lakewood, to accept as a gift to the City <br />of Lakewood the sum of $10,719.73 from the Lakewood Centennial <br />Commission for the renovation of the Lakewood Park Bandshell. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Lakewood Centennial Commission determined that <br />one-half of all funds raised by the Commission would be donated <br />to the renovation of the Lakewood Park Bandshell, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Lakewood Centennial Commission concluded its <br />fundraising with a $21,439.46 balance, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City will be renovating the Lakewood Park <br />Bandshell during 1990 to provide free entertainment to the resi- <br />dents of the community of Lakewood; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized <br />for and on behalf of the City of Lakewood to accept a gift from <br />the Lakewood Centennial Commission in the amount of $10,719.73 <br />for the renovation of the Lakewood Park Bandshell. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Mayor and Council extend to the Lake- <br />wood Centennial Commission their sincere appreciation and thanks <br />along with that of all the citizens of this community for their <br />most gracious gift to be used for the benefit of our community. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of <br />this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, <br />and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its <br />committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings <br />open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 4.
