FINAL RESOLUTION <br /> <br />Adopting Plans; Proposing to Cooperate; <br />Requesting Director to Proceed; <br />(Chapter 5521, Ohio Revised Code) <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO: 6494-90 BY: Boscia, Gallagher, Gazzana, <br /> George, Graham, Roth, Smith <br />A Resolution adopting plans, proposing to cooperate and <br />requesting Director to proceed in the improvement of Madison Avenue <br />from Riverside Drive (SR 237) to West ll7th Street, in the City <br />of Lakewood, Ohio. <br /> <br />Council Member Boscia <br /> <br />, moved the adoption of the following Resolution: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, At a meeting of the legislative authority of Lakewood, Ohio, <br /> <br />held in the office of said legislative authority on this 7th <br /> <br />day <br /> <br />of _ May <br /> <br />, 1990, a quorum being present, the improvement of Madison <br /> <br />Avenue, under the provisions of Chapter 5521, Ohio Revised Code, came on for <br /> <br />further consideration; said portion of highway as described in the legislation <br /> <br />proposing cooperation with the Director of Transportation, enacted on the 2nd <br /> <br />day of March, 1987, being described as follows: <br /> <br />The repair and resurfacing of Madison Avenue from Riverside Drive <br />(SR 237) to West ll7th Street in the City of Lakewood. Total length <br />of work being approximately 2.669 miles <br /> <br />; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, In said legislation proposing cooperation, said legislative <br />authority proposes to cooperate with the Director of Transportation in the <br />improvement of Madison Avenue, by assuming and contributing the entire cost <br />and expense of the improvement less the amount of Federal Funds set aside by <br />the Director of Transportation for the financing of this improvement from funds <br />allocated by the Federal Highway Administration; and further, the City agrees <br />to bear one hundred percent (100%) of the cost of Preliminary Engineering. <br /> <br />The Director of Transportation notwithstanding the percentage basis of contribution <br />may allocate the money contributed in whatever manner hemay deem necessary <br />in financing the cost of construction, rights-of-way, engineering and incidental <br />expenses. The total share of the cost for the City of Lakewood, Ohio, is now <br />estimated in the amount of Five Hundred Fifty Eight Thousand One Hundred Fifteen <br /> O0/lO0 Dollars, ($558,115.00), less Issue #2 Funds granted <br />for the construction phase of this improvement by the Ohio Public Works Commission <br />for Construction and Construction Engineering in the amount of Five Hundred <br />Forty Six Thousand Three Hundred Fifteen -O0/lO0 Dollars, <br />($546,315.00), leaving an estimated balance presently due the State of Ohio <br />from the City of Lakewood in the amount of Eleven Thousand Eight Hundred - <br /> -O0/lO0 Dollars, {$11,800.00), but said estimated amount <br />is to be adjusted in order that the City's ultimate share of the cost of said <br />improvement sh'all correspond with said percentages of actual cost when said <br />actual costs are determined <br /> <br />; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The Director of Transportation has approved said legislation <br />proposing cooperation and has caused to be made plans and specifications and <br />an estimate of cost and expense for improving the above described highway and <br />has transmitted copies of same to this legislative authority <br /> <br />; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This legislative authority desires the Director of Transportation <br />to proceed with the aforesaid highway improvement. <br /> <br /> <br />
