RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6524-90 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gallagher, Gazzana, <br />George, Graham, Roth, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to extend the appreciation of the Mayor and <br />City Council on behalf of all residents of this community to Thomas <br />Ohradzansky and Venture Packaging of Lakewood for outstanding <br />community service for donating over 11,000 ribbons in support of the <br />national Red Ribbon Campaign against drug abuse in the City of <br />Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood maintains a continuing effort <br />to ensure a drug-free environment for the youth of our community and <br />such efforts cannot achieve success without assistance and cooperation <br />from all sectors of our community, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, support of the Red Ribbon Campaign by businesses <br />and community leaders is a positive statement to our youth and all our <br />citizens that we have the choice not to abuse drugs and alcohol, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the wearing by all of our citizens of <br />ribbon stating "My Choice . . . Drug Free" constitutes a <br />statement in support of a drug free lifestyle, and <br /> <br />the red <br /> visible <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the support of the national Red Ribbon campaign by <br />Thomas Ohradzansky and Venture Packaging contributes to the health, <br />safety and welfare of our community and all our citizens; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor extend to Thomas <br />Ohradzansky and Venture Packaging their appreciation and that of all <br />the citizens of this community for their support of the Lakewood Red <br />Ribbon campaign, their outstanding contribution to our community and <br />the significant support of our efforts to show all of our citizens and <br />especially our young people that we have a choice and that choice <br />should be drug free. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby <br />authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution <br />to Thomas Ohradzansky and Venture Packaging at 1366 West ll7th Street, <br />Lakewood, Ohio, and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the <br />minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br />Approved:/~~/~ . <br /> / <br /> <br /> ES IDENT <br /> <br /> CLERK <br /> <br /> <br />
