RESOLUTION NO. 6S25-90 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gallagher, Gazzana, George, <br /> Graham, Roth, Smith <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director <br />of Public Works to advertise for bids and enter into a contract with the <br />lowest and best bidder for the purchase of equipment for the recycling <br />program of the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such equipment needs to be purchased to include 100% <br />of residential households in early 1991 in the City's recycling program; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, funds have already been appropriated for various park <br />improvements which can be placed on hold and funds utilized to purchase <br />this recycling equipment; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Resolution constitutes an emergency measure in <br />that it provides for the immediate preservation of public health and <br />welfare and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is <br />hereby authorized and directed to advertise for bids and enter into a <br />contract for the recycling equipment needed for the Lakewood recycling <br />program for an amount not to exceed $95,000. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions <br />of this Council concerning and relating to passage of this resolution <br />were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such <br />deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted <br />in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance <br />with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an. <br />.emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br /> provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br /> elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force h mediately upon <br /> its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect <br /> and be in force after the earliest period allow /la <br /> <br /> Adopted: ~L~A~/-5~ <br /> <br /> <br />
