RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6528-90 <br /> <br /> - ~.~l~zher <br />BY: .Bosci~:, ......... ~ , <br />Gazzana, George, Graham, <br />Roth, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION expressing support for the annual Coats for <br />Kids Campaign. beginning November 20, 1990, and commemerating December <br />1, 1990, as Coats for Kids Day in the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Coats for Kids is an annual campaign dedicated to <br />providing needy children in our area with winter coats, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Lakewood International has determined to make the <br />Coats for Kids project a major priority in this year's campaign <br />including the dedication of one day, December 1, 1990, for the <br />collection of money to purchase new coats for needy children from our <br />area, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, November 20, 1990, will include the City-wide Coats <br />for Kids Kickoff as part of the City's Holiday Lighting Program, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council and the Mayor desire to support the <br />Coats for Kids Campaign and to urge our residents and those of the <br />greater Cleveland area to support this worthy effort; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor, for and on <br />behalf of the residents of the City of Lakewood hereby express to all <br />our citizens and the citizens of the greater Cleveland area our <br />support for the Coats For Kids Campaign which will be commenced in the <br />City of Lakewood during the Holiday Lighting Ceremony on November 20 <br />1990. ' <br /> <br /> Section 2. That December 1, 1990, be designated as Coats <br />for Kids Day in the'City of Lakewood supporting Lakewood <br />International's effort in the collection of money for the purchase of <br />coats for needy children in this area. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That all our residents and the residents in the <br />greater Cleveland area are urged to join together to support this <br />important effort on behalf of our most precious resource, our <br />children. <br /> <br /> Section 4.
