RESOLUTION NO. 6S58-90 BY: Boscia, Gallagher, Gazzana, George, Graham, Roth, Smith AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director of Law and/or Finance to enter into a contract with the Justinian Publishing Company to update and revise the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood. WHEREAS, a codification of the Charter and all ordinances and resolutions of the City of Lakewood has last been performed in 1989, and WHEREAS, The Justinian Publishing Company is well qualified to perform the professional service with competitive and reasonable cost to Council, and WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure providing for the usual and daily operation of all the Departments and Divisions of the City of Lakewood; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Director of Law and/or Finance, for and on behalf of the City of Lakewood be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract attached hereto. Section 2. That this Council determines that this resolution and the contract attached hereto are in accordance with Chapter III of the Codified Ordianances of the City of Lakewood. Section 5. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. Section 4. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an ~ emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law.
