RESOLUTION NO. 6549-91 BY: Boscia, Gallagher, Gazzana, George, Graham, Roth, Smith A RESOLUTION to commend Firefighter David N. Dahlen for his public service as a member of the Division of Fire in the City of Lakewood. WHEREAS, upon his retirement, effective January 2, 1991, he has completed more than 21 years of public service with the Division of Fire, City of Lakewood; and WHEREAS, David supervised the Fire Prevention programs for the City of Lakewood, oversaw the long and difficult hospital renovation and spearheaded the highly successful smoke detector campaign of 1987 in which over 1800 smoke detectors were placed in Lakewood homes, insuring that David's efforts will protect the citizens of Lakewood long after his retirement; and WHEREAS, during his tenure with the Lakewood Division of Fire, Firefighter Dahlen has been recognized as a loyal and dedicated employee who rendered outstanding service, not only to the Department of Public Safety, but to the entire community as well; and WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the public service rendered by Firefighter Dahlen be given public cognizance and recognition; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1. That this Council and the Mayor of the City of Lakewood extend to Firefighter David N. Dahlen its appreciation and that of all the citizens of this community for his more than 21 years of public service as an employee in the Division of Fire of the City of Lakewood, and further that this Council and Mayor wish him continued years of health, happiness and prosperity in his retirement.
