RESOLUTION NO <br /> <br />6557-91 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gallagher, Gazzana, <br /> George, Graham, Roth, Smith <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director of <br />Public Works to establish sewer rates for years beginning after April <br />1, 1991. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a special rate for persons qualifying for Homestead exemption <br />has previously been established for water charges; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined that extending an 15% reduction for <br />sewer charges to persons qualifying would not greatly effect the <br />revenues for the Wastewater Operating Fund; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />..for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, there- <br /> fore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby <br />authorized and directed to establish special Homestead Exemption sewer <br />rates charged by the Lakewood Division of Water effective April 1, <br />1991, for all persons qualifying for this exemption as established by <br />Resolution 6182-87, as follows: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />The minimum charge for the first 1,000 cubic feet or <br />less of water used during each one or three month <br />billing period shall be EIGHT-DOLLARS AND <br />NINETY-EIGHT-CENTS ($8.98). <br /> <br />All water'used in excess of 1,000 cubic feet during <br />each one or three month billing period shall cost <br />89.8¢ per one-hundred cubic feet. <br /> <br />Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were <br />adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such <br />deliberations of this Council and of any of its committes that <br />resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />receives <br />Council, <br />adoption <br />and be in <br /> <br /> force after the earliest per~ <br />Adopted :~,! p r~d(e~ <br /> <br />Section 3.
