RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6570-91 BY: Boscia, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> Roth, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION commending all members of the <br />community returning from active service. <br /> <br />Lakewood <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, numerous members of the Lakewood community have <br />served in the Persian Gulf and other locations in Operation Desert <br />Storm, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, many members of the Lakewood community have <br />relatives who were activated to serve in Operation Desert Storm, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood takes great pride in all of <br />its daughters and sons, brothers and sisters, wives and husbands who <br />have served when called upon by the Commander in Chief and Congress of <br />the United States, at great personal risk to serve in the war zone <br />and other locations, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the remarkable success and distinguished service of <br />the United States and allied armed forces brings great credit to our <br />community; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the following named individuals and all <br />unnamed activated servicemen and women who share membership in the <br />community of Lakewood, Ohio, and have served our country in the <br />Persian Gulf and other locations are commended for their valor, <br />courage and obedience to the call to duty in the most perilous service <br />that the country can ask of its citizens and each of them is hereby <br />designated a Lakewood Hometown Hero: <br /> <br />Cpl. Be it further resolved that we thank and express <br />our deepest gratitude to our honored members of the armed forces and <br />their families for the sacrifices they have made and welcome them home <br />to Lakewood. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this <br />resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that <br /> <br /> <br />
