RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6582-91 <br /> <br /> BY: Gallagher, Gazzana, <br />George, Graham, Roth, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend Sergeant Ronald Ryant for his <br />public service as a member of the Division of Police in the City <br />of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, upon his retirement, effective April 20, 1991, <br />'he has completed more than 26 years of public' service with the <br /> Division of Police, City of Lakewood; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Ronald Ryant was promoted to Sergeant in 1971 <br />and was assigned to the Traffic and Patrol Division where he <br />coordinated the emergency victim care training program for police <br />officers in 1973, serving as the department's expert on the <br />subject since that time; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Sergeant Ryant was assigned to the Detective <br />Bureau on March 1, 1985 where his responsibilities included all <br />evidence and property management; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Sergeant Ryant received numerous letters of <br />commendation from the public and other law enforcement agencies, <br />including the U.S. Marshall's Service, for his handling of <br />criminal investigations; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during his tenure with the Lakewood Division <br />of Police, Sergeant Ryant has been recognized as a loyal and <br />dedicated employee who rendered outstanding service, not only to <br />the Department of Public Safety, but to the entire community as <br />well; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the public <br />service rendered by Sergeant Ryant be given public cognizance and <br />recognition; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor, extend to <br />Ronald F. Ryant its appreciation and that of all the citizens of <br />this community for his more than 26 years of public service as an <br />employee in the Division of Police of the City of Lakewood, and <br />further that this Council and Mayor wish him continued years of <br />health, happiness and prosperity in his retirement. <br /> <br /> Section <br /> authorized <br />Resolution <br /> <br />hereby <br />this <br />Westlake, Ohio, 44145, and that a copy of this Resolution <br />spread upon the minutes of the '~ ~ <br /> <br />Adopte : i Iqql <br />CLERK <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />2.
