RESOLUTION NO. 6592-91 BY: <br /> <br />Gallagher, George, Graham, <br /> Roth, Smith <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director <br />of Public Works to sell, through a public auction, various obsolete <br />and non-functioning City vehicles and/or equipment. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to sell this <br />obsolete and non-functioning equipment to make better use of the space <br />it occupies and to realize a profit from the sale, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the immediate preservation of the public health and <br />welfare and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, <br />now, therefore: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby <br />authorized and directed to sell, through a public auction, to be held <br />on or about June 1, 1991, various obsolete and non-functioning City <br />vehicles and/or equipment after advertising according to law. List <br />of items to be auctioned attached hereto. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions <br />of this Council concerning and relating to the passage 'of this <br />resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that <br />all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees <br />that resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to the. <br />public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take <br />effect and be in force after the earliest period all <br /> <br />owed~.w. <br /> <br />Approved:'~O~ 7, /~/ <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
