RESOLUTION NO. 6593-91 BY: Boscia, Gallagher, Gazzana, Graham, Roth, Smith A RESOLUTION expressing appreciation to the volunteers from the Lakewood Department On Aging who serve as tutors in the grade schools. WHEREAS, our community prides itself in promoting the well being of all of its citizens through intergenerational activities which enrich the lives of both the young and elderly as each generation learns from the other, and WHEREAS, the tutoring program is one specific arrangement where priceless hours of volunteerism has brought due recognition and honor to volunteers Joe Bender, Jeanette Blaine, Emily Garber, Eleanor Gillespie, Beth Goodwin, Earl Harlan~ Jenny Hilkowski, Mellbaine Holm, Ann Laundy, Ralph Laund¥, Russell Lang, Marie Lynch, Muriel McCarthy, Margo McClure, Eleanor Miller, Steve Miller, Mildred Royer, Ann Sasala, Braanda Schwartz, Lois Seabright, Clarence Seabright, Harvey Streitel, Dora Strong, Harold Strong, Maxine Thomas, Agnes Trope, and John #ilson. WHEREAS, the accomplishments of these individuals have further brought due recognition and honor not only to themselves, but to the Lakewood community as well and these accomplishments should be recognized in a proper and fitting manner; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That this Council extends to the above mentioned individuals its appreciation and the appreciation of all of the citizens of this community for their hours of volunteer tutoring of the children ~n the grade schools of Lakewood. Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Department of Aging, 16022 Madison Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio and that a copy of this resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting.
