WHOLB ON 9/3/91. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6620-91 <br /> <br /> BY:Boscia, Gallagher, George, <br />Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the <br />Director of Public Works to advertise for bids and enter into a <br />contract with the lowest and best bidder after advertisement accord- <br />ing to law for the demolition and clearance of the Malley Realty <br />property, located in the City of Lakewood at 11900 Detroit Avenue <br />(Permanent Parcel No. 312-33-8,9 &29). <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Lakewood has determined <br />that it is in the best interest of the City of Lakewood to raze and <br />clear said property in an initial step to redevelop certain proper- <br />ties within the City of Lakewood, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department and <br />for the immediate preservation of the public safety and welfare; now <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is <br />hereby authorized and directed to advertise for bids and to enter <br />into a contract with the lowest and best bidder after advertisement <br />according to law for the demolition and clearance of property located <br />at 11900 Detroit. Avenue, in the CitY of Lakewood and being Permanent <br />Parcel No. 312-33-8,9,& 29. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of <br />this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and <br />that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its commit- <br />tees that resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to <br />the public, in compliance with all legal requirement. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof <br />and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise it <br />shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed <br />by law.
