RESOLUTION NO. 6630-91 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gallagher, Gazzana, <br /> George, Graham, Roth, Smith <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Mayor of <br />the City of Lakewood to sign any and all documents necessary to submit an <br />application(s) for financial assistance and to execute necessary agreements, <br />as part of the State of Ohio Issue 2 Public Works Improvement Program during <br />1992. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Ohio, through the enactment of the Issue <br />2 Program, has made available to local communities funds for public <br />improvements subject to certain guidelines, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has significant public improvement <br />needs which exceed the City's current ability to solely finance within a <br />reasonable time, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, <br />and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT.RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized, empowered and <br />directed to sign any and all documents necessary to submit an application <br />for financial assistance and to execute any agreements as part of the State <br />of Ohio Issue 2 Public Works improvement Program during 1992. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It. is found and determined that all formal actions <br />of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution <br />were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such <br />deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted <br />in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with <br />all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided <br />it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption <br />and'approval ~by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force <br />after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />AdOpted: ~ /~/ /~ ' <br /> <br /> <br />
