RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6642-91 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gallagher, George, <br /> Graham, Roth, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION commending Lieutenant John P. Brindza for his <br />public service as a member of the Division of Police in the City of <br />Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Lieutenant John P. Brindza was appointed to the <br />Lakewood Police Department on September 16, 1964, as a Patrol <br />Officer; assigned to the Detective Bureau from April 17, 1973; <br />promoted to the rank of Sergeant on April 1, 1979; and to Lieutenant <br />on April 1, 1985, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during his years of service with the City of <br />Lakewood, John P. Brindza was an outstanding police officer, noted <br />for his pride and professionalism in his work, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Lieutenant John P. Brindza was instrumental, <br />through his efforts and leadership, in implementing and administering <br />the Police Computerized Dispatch System, as well as helping to move <br />the Lakewood Police Department into the 21st Century with the <br />installation of a Mobile Data Communication System, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during his tenure with the Lakewood Division of <br />Police, John P. Brindza was a loyal and dedicated police officer who <br />rendered outstanding service, not only to the Department of Public <br />Safety, but the entire community as well, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Lieutenant John P. Brindza has retired effective <br />August 24, 1991, and in consideration of the need to recognize such <br />outstanding public service; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor extend to <br />Lieutenant John P. Brindza their appreciation and that of the <br />citizens of this community for his 27 years of distinguished public <br />service to the City of Lakewood and further that they wish him <br />continued years of success, health and prosperity. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby <br />authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this <br />Resolution to Lieutenant John P. Brindza, 2308 Ogontz Avenue, <br />Lakewood, Ohio 44107, and that a copy of this Resolution be spread <br />upon the minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br />Adopted: g~ ~/ //~// <br /> <br />CLERK <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br /> <br />
