RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6668-91 BY: <br /> <br />Boscia, Gallagher, Gazzana, <br />George, Graham, Roth, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION extending congratulations to the Lakewood <br />Rangers Football Team for its outstanding athletic achievement during <br />the 1991 Football Season. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the <br />High School Division <br />history; and <br /> <br />Lakewood football team qualified for the Ohio <br />I State Playoffs for the first time in school <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Rangers exhibited great skill and sportsmanship <br />~during their 8 and 2 regular season in the Lake Erie League, culminat- <br />ing in a 22-6 defeat of Shaw, qualifying the Rangers for the State <br />football playoffs; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on Saturday, November 9th the Lakewood Rangers were <br />eliminated from the State playoffs by the St. Ignatius Wildcats, <br />despite a valiant effort by the Rangers; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by their outstanding athletic accomplishments and <br />good sportsmanship, together with the expert guidance of their <br />dedicated coaches, the Lakewood Rangers Football Team has brought <br />position, recognition and honor not only to themselves, but to our <br />entire community; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That we honor the Lakewood Rangers Football <br />Team for their outstanding athletic achievement during the 1991 Foot- <br />ball Season. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby <br />authorized and directed to forward a certified, copy of this Resolution <br />to Coach Kevin Fell, Lakewood High14100~nSchool, Blvd., <br />Lakewood, Ohio 44107, and that a ~op.y~k~~tion~be~ spread <br />upon the minutes of the meeting. <br /> <br /> Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
