RESOLUTION NO. 6688-92 BY: Boscia, Gallagher, George, Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith A RESOLUTION extending congratulations to Lakewood resident Lisa Ervin on her outstanding performance at the United States Figure Skating Championships in Orlando, Florida. WHEREAS, Lisa Ervin pushed off her Lakewood as early as the third grade under supervision of Carol Heiss-Jenkins, and skating career in the training and WHEREAS, the training and supervision she received helped in spiralling her skating career to ever increasing heights including; a national novice title two years ago, a junior national championship one year ago and a second place finish at the junior world champiOnships a few months ago in Canada, and WHEREAS, Lisa Ervin, 14, recently made her first national appearance at the senior level finishing fourth behind the senior women, and WHEREAS, Lisa's near-perfect short and long programs at her latest performance prove her to be Well qualified as an alternate to the United States Olympic Team; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That this Council gives its across the board congratulations to Lisa Ervin, and that of all of the citizens of the Lakewood community, for her outStanding athletic achievements at the U.S..Figure Skating Championships. Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Lisa Ervin c/o Carol Heiss-Jenkins, Winterhurst Skating Rink, 14740 lakewood Hts., Blvd., Lakewood, OH 44107 and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting.
