RESOLUTION NO. 6690-92 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gallagher, George, <br /> Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION expressing the congratulations of the <br />Council of the City of Lakewood, Ohio to Lakewood resident and <br />Figure Skater, Emily Freedman on her outstanding performance at <br />the United States Figure Skating Championships in Orlando, <br />Florida. <br /> <br /> wHEREAs, at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in <br />Orlando, Florida Emily Freedman, 12 years old, finished fifth <br />overall in the novice ladies division, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council <br />dedication and commitment needed <br />achievement, and <br /> <br />realizes and appreciates· the <br /> to earn Emily Freedman this <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by her outstanding accomplishments <br />Freedman has brought due recognition and honor, not <br />herself, but to the entire Lakewood community, and <br /> <br /> Emily <br />only to <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />aCcomplishments be <br />therefore, <br /> <br />it is only fitting and proper that such <br />acknowledged in a formal resolution; now, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> 1. That this Council eXtends to Emily Freedman its <br />congratulations, and that of all of the citizens of the Lakewood <br />community upon her spectacular achievements at the United States <br />Figure Skating ChamPionshiPS. <br /> <br /> 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby <br />authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this <br />Resolution to Emily Freedman c/o Carol Heiss-Jenkins, Winterhurst <br />Skating Rink, 14740 Lakewood Hts.
