RESOLUTION NO. 6694-92 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gallagher, George, <br /> Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the <br />Director of Public Works to advertise for bids and enter into a <br />contract with the lowest and best bidder after advertisement <br />according to laW for the demolition and clearance of the Property <br />located in the City of Lakewood at 14521 Madison Avenue (Permanent <br />Parcel Numbers 314-19-002 and 314-19-092). <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Lakewood has <br />determined by Ordinance Number 91.91 that it is in the best <br />interest of the City of Lakewood to purchase the above referenced <br />property for parking and an initial step to redevelop this <br />property for that purpose is to raze and clear said property; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Resolution constitutes an emergency <br />measure providing for the usual daily operation ora municipal <br />department and for the immediate preservation of the public safety <br />and welfare for the reason that additional public parking is <br />needed to maintain commercial tenants in the area and preserve the <br />quality and value of the surrounding residential neighborhoods, <br />now therefore <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is <br />hereby authorized and directed to advertise for bids and to enter <br />into a contract with the lowest and best bidder after <br />advertisement according to law for the demolition and clearance of <br />property located at 14521 Madison Avenue, in the City of Lakewood <br />and being Permanent Parcel Numbers 314-19-002 and 314-19-092. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to the, passage of <br />this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, <br />and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its <br />committees that resulted in such formal action, were in <br />meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal <br />requirement. <br /> <br /> Section 3.
