RESOLUTION NO. 6710-~-92 <br /> <br /> BY: Boscia, Gallagher, <br />George, Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, <br />Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to honor the St. Edward Eagles Hockey <br />Team, winning its fourth State Championship; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, special commendation and recognition is due to <br />all members of the St. Edward Hockey Team and Coach Bob Whidden <br />and his staff for their outstanding performance at this year's <br />15th State Championship Hockey Game; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, to excel in the game of hockey, a young person <br />must demonstrate, in addition to a great deal of natural ability, <br />an outstanding spirit of dedication, enthusiasm, and hard work; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood wishes to extend its <br />expression of pride in the accomplishments of this hockey team, <br />as well as our appreciation for the recognition they have brought <br />to Northern Ohio by their playing in the State Championship Game; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by their outstanding accomplishments, the St. <br />Edward High School Eagles Hockey Team has brought due recognition <br />and honor, not only to themselves, but to the entire Lakewood <br />Community - which accomplishments should be recognized in a <br />proper and fitting manner; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor, hereby <br />extend to St. Edward High School Eagles Hockey Team, its con- <br />gradulations and that of all the citizens of the Lakewood <br />Community for their outstanding athletic achievements. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
