RESCL'JTION NO. 6721-92 <br /> <br />BY: Gallagher, Geo'rge, Gibbo <br /> Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION declaring Tuesday, MaY 19, 1992 as Senior <br />Citizens' Day in Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the 1992 theme is "Help Older Americans Help <br />Themselves" and is in celebration of the many talents of older <br />people; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in 1991, 493 volunteers contributed 71,528 <br />hours of voluntary service to the Department on Aging, a value in <br />excess of $304,037 to the City of Lakewood; and <br /> <br />honor <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood and its'leaders will <br />the Senior Citizens of Lakewood on this special occasion; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the lifelong experience and collective <br />knowledge of older persons are resources that we all must use to <br />meet the challenges of the future; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor, hereby <br />extend to the Senior citizens of LakeWood, its commendation,~ and <br />that of all the citizens of the Lakewood Community for their <br />contribution to our community. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
