7/6/92 Docket Item No. 16. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6737-92 BY: <br /> <br />Boscia, Gallagher, George, <br />Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend Lakewood resident and new <br />Lakewood High School graduate Johanna Vine for her <br />scholastic achievements. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Johanna graduated Sunday, May 31, 1992, <br />from LHS as one of the top ten students in her class of more <br />than five hundred and twenty, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Johanna's academic honors include <br />Merit Scholarships to Grinnel College and Wooster, as well <br />as an Excellence and Equal Cost Scholarship to Bard College, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Johanna decided to attend Bard College in <br />the fall to study ecology because Bard houses an ecology <br />field station on the Hudson River, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in addition to scholarships, Johanna <br />received an international commendation from the Tandy <br />Corporation for being in the Academic Top Two Percent during <br />1991-92 school year, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Johanna has earned for herself an <br />academic base, as well as community volunteerism and student <br />activities participation status, a resume with which to <br />carry forward well in all her life's endeavors, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Johanna's achievements to the present <br />time are due appropriate recognition and commendation; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and Mayor do hereby <br />extend to Lakewood High School graduate Johanna Vine their <br />heartfelt congratulations and commendations on her several <br />scholastic honors this spring in Lakewood, Ohio. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
