RESOLUTION NO. 6765-92 BY:Boscia, Gallagher, George, Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith A RESOLUTION requesting the Auditor of Cuyahoga County to draw and the Treasurer of Cuyahoga County to pay to the Director of Finance of the City of Lakewood, an advance of taxes collected for the year 1993 in such amounts as may be requested and available. WHEREAS, Section 321.34 of the Revised Code provides that when local authorities by resolution so request, the County Auditor shall draw and the County Treasurer shall pay on such draft to township clerks, treasurers of municipal corporations, the Clerk of any board of education, and the treasurer of any other political sUbdivision or taxing district whose funds derived from taxes or other sources are payable by law to the County Treasurer, any money that may be in the County treasury to the accounts of such local authorities; and WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure providing for the immediate preservation of the public property and the usual daily operation of a municipal department, as the City treasury will benefit and financial planning be enhanced by timely receipt of municipal funds; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Auditor of Cuyahoga County be requested to draw and the Treasurer of Cuyah°ga COunty be requested to pay to the Director of Finance of the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio, an advance of taxes for the year 1993 in such amount as may be requested of him and which are available. Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. · Adopted: ~ ~, /~ ' / presfden% Clerk ~ayor
