RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6768-92 BY: Gallagher, George, Gibbons, <br /> Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION designating and proclaiming the week of October 24 through <br />November 1, 1992 as Red Ribbon Week in the city of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Lakewood is a community that supports a drug free environment <br />365 days a year through education awareness and enforcement; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the city of Lakewood joins communities across the nation in partici- <br />pating in Red Ribbon Week as a means to create a change in people's attitudes towards <br />drugs; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the red ribbon has come to signify "joining together", the md ribbon <br />will bring people of ail ages, races, and socio-economic backgrounds together for one just <br />cause -- a drug free nation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Lakewood has participated in the last three annual red ribbon <br />campaigns by providing thousands of red ribbons to residents; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Lakewood will again designate October 24th as the beginning of <br />Red Ribbon Week. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1.
