RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6769-92 <br /> <br />BY:Boscia, Gallagher, George, <br /> Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, <br /> Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Mayor to submit the <br />final statement for FY 1993 Community Development Block Grant funds <br />and all amendments thereto and all understandings and assurances <br />contained therein to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban <br />Development. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Under Title I of the Housing and Community <br />Development Act of 1974, as amended and the regulations promulgated <br />thereunder, the Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban <br />Development is authorized to make grants to units of general local <br />government to finance Community Development programs; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Lakewood continues to participate in the <br />Community Development Block Grant program and such funds are <br />necessary to accomplish its community development goals; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Lakewood proposes to apply for such a <br />grant and has, in that connection and as required by and pursuant <br />to the Act and Regulations, prepared a final statement of Community <br />Development Objectives and Projected Use of Funds which contain <br />local objectives, a description of activities to be undertaken, a <br />budget, and certifications in the form of assurances. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and <br />directed to submit the final statement and related certifications <br />and amendments thereto as necessary and to enter into an agreement <br />with and to budget and administer all grant funds received from the <br />U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and <br />directed~ to act in connection with submission of the Final <br />Statement and to provide such additional information as may be <br />required. <br /> <br />Section 3.
