RESOLUTION NO. 6770-92 BY: Boscia, Gallagher, George, Gibbons <br /> Roth, Seelie, Smith <br />A RESOLUTION extending congratulations to Mr.~ and Mrs. <br />John Livingston on the celebration of their Golden Wedding <br />Anniversary. <br /> <br /> W~EREAS, John Livingston and Jeane Gallagher were <br />married on September 3, 1942 at 6:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Angels <br />Church in Cleveland, Ohio, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after their brief honeymoon to and from <br />Detroit via the "Mercury" train, the years following John and <br />Jeane's union offered the married pair that John would serve <br />abroad in England, France and Germany while Jeane worked for the <br />Ohio Bureau of Employment Services until John's return from <br />wartime duty to Cleveland in 1945, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, their reunion withstood ten .years and many <br />moves which would eventually bring John and Jeane to make their <br />home for the next forty years to the present day in Lakewood at <br />2182 Carabel Avenue, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is to this home they brought two of their <br />three children, Kevin and Joyce and the expectancy of their <br />youngest daughter, Karen, born two months thereafter, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, each of the Livingstons enjoys their friends <br />they kept over the years and John Livingston, retired from the <br />Cleveland Fire Department, is the President of the Legion of Mary <br />at St. Mark's Church and welcomes new parishioners while Jeane <br />touches many lives availing herself to anyone in need of a quick <br />prayer or quick help in the form of a smile, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after an Anniversary Mass on September 3, <br />1992, and instead of a wedding reception fifty years ago, a <br />heartwarming celebration reception complete with clinking of <br />glasses and dancing was held September 4, 1992, in honor of Mr. <br />and Mrs. John Livingston, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council and the Mayor wish to join with <br />other organizations, family and friends in congratulating the <br />couple on this most auspicious occasion of their Golden Wedding <br />Anniversary; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor, extend to <br />Mr. and Mrs. John Livingston heartiest congratulations on the <br />occasion of their Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
