RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6771-92 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gallagher, George, <br /> Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION commending Shellie Barnes Sedlak on <br />receiving an award from Governor George V. Voinovich and the Ohio <br />Environmental Protection Agency for outstanding achievement in <br />pollution prevention. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as one of six recipients in the State of Ohio <br />awarded this honor, Shellie Barnes Sedlak has brought due <br />recognition not only to herself and the Lakewood Community but to <br />the important issue of pollution prevention, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Shellie Barnes Sedlak is an exemplary <br />~ecycling advocate at work and at home practicing what she <br />preaches on waste reduction issues, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ms. Sedlak employs every imaginable <br />conservation tip from strict water reduction methods in her home <br />(saving the first droplets of shower water in a Jug during the <br />temperature adjusting time before showering for watering plants <br />and for other household needs) to actively promoting a <br />recycling-aware workplace, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is only fitting and proper that the <br />responsible and committed efforts exemplified by Shellie Barnes <br />Sedlak in the promotion and practice of recycling be given public <br />cognizance and recognition; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and Mayor extend to <br />Shellie Barnes Sedlak their commendation and congratulations upon <br />her being one of six recipients from Ohio to be singled out by <br />Governor George V. Voinovich and the Ohio Environmental <br />Protection Agency in recognition of her commitment to <br />Environmental Protection. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and is hereby <br />authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this <br />Resolution to Shellie Barnes Sedlak, 1069 Summit, Lakewood, Ohio, <br />44107, and that a copy of this Resolution be ~upon the <br />minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br />Adopted: ~~, /~ <br /> ! <br /> <br />CLERK <br /> <br />Approved :~°~ ~ ~//~ <br /> <br /> <br />
