RESOt,UTION NO. <br /> <br />6777-92 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gallagher, George, <br /> Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A Resolution congratulating Mark Hull, Lakewood High <br />School graduate and Commercial Art major for winning the National <br />General Illustration Competition. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ Mark Hull, a 1992 graduate of Lakewood High <br />School received recognition at the NASA/National Science <br />Teachers Association Space Science Student Involvement Program <br />1992 National Symposium, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Hull was the winner of the Mars Settlement <br />Art Contest, General Illustration Division, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, his artwork was selected from over <br />entries depicting life on Mars for future explorers, and <br /> <br />2,000 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mark received an all expense paid trip to the <br />National Symposium which was held at Kennedy Space Center, <br />Florida where former astronaut, Robert L. Crippen presented Mark <br />with a plaque recognizing his art work, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mark's artwork will be on display at NASA <br />centers and the Smithsonian Space and Science Center in <br />Washington, DC for the next year, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by his outstanding artistic accomplishments, <br />Mark Hull has brought recognition and honor not only to himself, <br />but to our entire community; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKE"WOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and Mayor extend to Mark <br />Hull their congratulations and that of all the citizens of this <br />community for winning the National General Illustration <br />Competition. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
