RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6788-92 <br /> <br /> BY: Boscia, Gallagher, George, <br />Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, for and on behalf of the City <br />of Lakewood, to accept as a grant to the City of Lakewood the sum of <br />$46,971.00 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the State of <br />Ohio. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has been included in an area declared <br />by the Federal Government to be eligible for Emergency Disaster Relief <br />Funding on August 14, 1992, Disaster Number FEMA 951 DR OH, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has filed for Federal and State <br />Emergency Disaster Relief as a result of the damage suffered during severe <br />weather conditions on July 14-15, 1992, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the supporting documentation supplied by various City <br />Departments has established relief funding pursuant to the Federal guide- <br />lines governing such funding; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized for and <br />on behalf of the City of Lakewood to accept the $46,971.00 grant from <br />Federal and State Emergency Relief Funding as a result of the storm damage <br />on July 14-15, 1992. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of <br />this Council cdncerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were <br />adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such delibera- <br />tions of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such <br />formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all <br />legal requirements. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and pro- <br />vided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected <br />to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be <br />in force after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />CLERK <br /> <br /> ! <br /> <br /> <br />
