RESOLUTION NO. 6788-92 BY: Boscia, Gallagher, George, Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith A RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, for and on behalf of the City of Lakewood, to accept as a grant to the City of Lakewood the sum of $46,971.00 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the State of Ohio. WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has been included in an area declared by the Federal Government to be eligible for Emergency Disaster Relief Funding on August 14, 1992, Disaster Number FEMA 951 DR OH, and WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has filed for Federal and State Emergency Disaster Relief as a result of the damage suffered during severe weather conditions on July 14-15, 1992, and WHEREAS, the supporting documentation supplied by various City Departments has established relief funding pursuant to the Federal guide- lines governing such funding; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized for and on behalf of the City of Lakewood to accept the $46,971.00 grant from Federal and State Emergency Relief Funding as a result of the storm damage on July 14-15, 1992. Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council cdncerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such delibera- tions of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. Adopted: Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and pro- vided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law.
