RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6803-93 BY: <br /> <br />BoScia, Gallagher, George, Gibbons, <br />Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend and encourage Lakewood Resident and <br />Garfield School student, Dylan Bookman, for placing first in the <br />Greater Cleveland Area "Hoop Shoot". <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Dylan Bookman entered the "Hoop Shoot" by the local Elks <br />Lodge 1350 and won with nineteen for twenty-five foul shots <br />accomplished to represent Garfield Elementary in the Lakewood-wide <br />contest at Lincoln School, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Dylan went on to win first place' at Lincoln bringing <br />him to the Willoughby Middle School competition which hosted the <br />entire Greater Cleveland Metropolitan Area mul_tir:cOun-ty set of young <br />finalists, and ~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Willoughby match saw Dylan in first place among the <br />area's top eight competitors earning him a trip to Delaware, Ohio for <br />the State Finals three day event, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this foul shooting expertise demonstrated by Dylan will <br />garner recognition and pride for Garfield Elementary School and the <br />City, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council and the Mayor wish to congratulate, commend <br />and encourage Dylan Bookman on behalf of the citizens of this <br />community; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor commend Dylan Bookman <br />on his athletic aChievement in the local Elks Lodge 1350 "Hoop Shoot". <br /> <br /> Section 2.
