DEFERRED ON 2/1/93. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6805-93 <br /> <br /> BY: Boscia, Gallagher, <br />.George, Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION extending congratulations to Lisa Ervin <br />for her outstanding athletic and personal achievement; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Lisa Ervin, a member of the Winterhurst Figure <br />Skating Club and student at Lakewood High School, captured second <br />place at the 1993 U.S. Figure Skating Association National <br />Championships; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Lisa Ervin's performance will enable her to <br />represent the United States of America as well as our community <br />at the 1993 World Figure Skating Championships in Prague, <br />Czechoslovakia; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Lisa has demonstrated that her personal <br />abilities, interests, and dedication do extend beyond the realm <br />of athleticism to include the scholastic pursuit of an impressive <br />academic load at Lakewood High School; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, through her exceptional athleticism, ebul- <br />lience, grace, and determination, Lisa has brought position, <br />recognition and honor not only to herself, but to our entire <br />community; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor hereby <br />extend to Lisa Ervin its congratulations, and that of all the <br />citizens of the Lakewood community for her second place finish at <br />the 1993 U.S. Figure Skating National Championship. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
